Intelligentsia Sound & Lighting (ISandL) provides both sound reinforcement and concert lighting for live music events. Most regularly gigging bands do not own, or wish to own a full PA and lighting rig. It constitutes a major investment which often has to be jointly owned by the band members, and this becomes very difficult to deal with should the band line-up change at all. It also means extra time and effort for the band at each gig, where the main objective for them is to perform, and not have to be a sound or lighting engineer at the same time. ISandL exists to support emerging and regularly gigging bands so that they can do what they do best - play music - and let someone else worry about the sound and lighting.
ProfileHaving grown out of a passion for professional sound and lighting dating back to the 1970s, ISandL transitioned from disco-oriented services into live music around 7 years ago. Since then, the inventory of sound and lighting equipment has flourished, taking advantage of the latest digital technologies in both the sound and lighting arenas. ISandL has always endeavored to employ a highly flexible and responsive approach to any requirement in any live music venue, from a "no-room-to-swing-a-cat" pub to a large hall. The most important word in the ISandL vocabulary is "QUALITY". All equipment used by ISandL is of a high standard, and very well maintained. Decent kit is part of the solution, but using it effectively is perhaps even more important. ISandL staff pride themselves on achieving the best sound possible, regardless of the circumstances. Lighting, while often an afterthought for most bands, can play an vital role in not only allowing your audience to see you play, but also to create the right atmosphere to reinforce your musical message. The ISandL inventory includes advanced intelligent lighting fixtures that can be programmed to achieve a huge range of static and dynamic lighting possibilities. Based in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, we can travel a reasonable distance at no extra cost. Recent ISandL gigs have been in Whetstone, Barnet and Enfield. We now have a significant sound and lighting installation in Whetstone, London, and are assisting with the creation of a brand new live music venue in Palmers Green, London |
